Arena Group has expanded its temporary buildings offering, supplying new I-Novation structures to create the official merchandise hall at The Open, Royal Troon and the Leonardo exhibition hall at Farnborough International Airshow, July 10th – 17th, 2016.

Building on June’s successful installation of the I-Novate Renault exhibition stand at Goodwood Festival of Speed Arena Group has created temporary event buildings at two of the UK’s foremost events.

Arena Group provided complete project management for the 1,750 sqm I-Novation structure creating the Leonardo Finmeccanica exhibition pavilion at Farnborough International Airshow. Creating initial 3D CAD design concepts the team delivered contemporary interiors with two floors of hospitality and meeting facilities filling half of the stand, with an interior balcony overlooking the main product exhibition hall wrapped with curved walls and multi-media screens delivering content produced by Arena Group on behalf of the client. Exterior balconies at both levels gave great views of the exterior exhibition area and over the runway for the aircraft taking off for the flying displays.

Four hundred miles North to Scotland’s famous Royal Troon for The Open, Arena Group simultaneously supplied 27,000 sqm of temporary structures across the golf course for players, officials and the public. The 1,775 sqm I-Novation temporary merchandise hall created an expansive retail environment, where many of the 200,000 plus visitors shopped for their souvenirs, clothing and golfing equipment. The 4,500 sqm double decker Arcus Patron’s Pavilion was particularly impressive, with pristine interiors created by Arena Structures, along with a wide range of single and double deck structures for hospitality, public restaurants, a fully equipped international media centre, entrance pavilion and spectator village incorporating exhibition stands. Sister company Spaceworks also supplied an extensive range of event furniture to venues across the course.

Arena Group UK and Europe CEO Grahame Muir states:

“The introduction of this truss based I-Novation temporary building widens the choice of clients to choose a flexible, more permanent feeling structure and we have shown across these three events how our interior design and fit-out teams can adapt the space to suit our clients’ requirements.

“Leg heights of 8m or 13m and much greater roof-loading capacities give designers more scope to create more varied temporary venues incorporating the contemporary spaceframe design. I-Novation building also gives us improved thermal and acoustic properties, adding to the benefits and applications we can offer clients.

“Arena Group is committed to further significant investments in this system, signifying our commitment to support our clients in their aim to create stunning event venues.”
