When the PGA Tour returned to Malaysia for the CIMB Classic at TPC Kuala Lumpur, Asia Tents Arena – part of the Arena Group – was asked to supply temporary event infrastructure across the course, 12th-15th October 2017.
The tournament, which was won by Pat Perez from the USA, featured a strong field including Bradley Keegan, Stewart Cink, Davis Love III, Ian Poulter, Xander Schauffele and Charl Schwartzel.
Working with our Client, Event Management International, Asia Tents Arena delivered 5,275sqm of temporary structures including the impressive Langkawi Suite which overlooked the 18th Green, 14th Green and the 15th Tee.
Comprising a 10m x 15m double deck entrance and a 15m x 30m hospitality suite, the Langkawi Suite featured viewing decks, dining area, bar and bar seating, lounge, balconies and toilets. Asia Tents Arena also supplied furniture for the various areas inside including sofas, tables, bar stools and coffee tables.
Elsewhere on the course Asia Tents Arena installed the Champions Club, a single-deck hospitality area covering 525sqm, and multiple marquees. These included the double deck Sponsors Marquee (1,650sqm), the single deck Club Members Marquee (450sqm), the single deck Exhibition Marquee (500sqm) and the single deck Courtyard Marquee (500sqm).
Asia Tents Arena also supplied two spectator grandstands for the 14th and 18th greens, both 15m x 15m structures covering 450sqm and each containing 288 seats and a bar area.
