Arena Confirmed As Key Supplier For Ocean Business Event

Arena was confirmed as the sole structure supplier for Ocean Business 2019, a hands-on technology exhibition and training forum, staged in Southampton from 9 to 11 April 2019.

The event is held every two years at the National Oceanography Centre with many exhibitors considering it as one of the best ocean technology shows in the industry. For 2019, Ocean Business will welcome over 330 international exhibitors through its doors to promote their world-class marine products and cutting edge technologies.

Arena has supplied dockside structures for the event for 12 years, with extensions planned for this year to meet increasing demand for the event.

This year the structure will be extended by 150 square meters, with an additional 30-square-meter installation required, to create a space for workshops, training and seminars during the three-day show.

Simon Marsh, Account Director for Arena, said: “It is a pleasure to be returning to Southampton and working with Ocean Business and Diversified Communications once again on this extremely popular event.

“As with any event, attention to detail and health and safety are of paramount importance, so given the unique dockside location, which contrasts to our typical sporting events and exhibitions, we’re taking no chances! Our crews will be wearing life jackets throughout the whole build and decommission.”

Cheri Arvonio, Event Manager of Diversified Communications, said: “Our last event in 2017 was our busiest ever, particularly on the waterside with over 180 hours of workshops and standing room only at many of these sessions.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be able to increase capacity this year, working with our trusted structures supplier Arena to get the build completed on time and given the nature of the location, with the utmost focus on the safety of our keynote speakers, exhibitors, and delegates.”

Arena Structures will also be showcasing examples of their builds at the Harrogate Exhibition from 14 to 17 July 2019, including a case study of this year’s Ocean Business exhibition.
