Ice skating and festive fun has officially returned to Liverpool’s Pier Head, with the opening of Liverpool Christmas Ice Festival.
Today, 13 November, visitors were welcomed onto the rink to make the first carves in the ice, ahead of seven weeks of traditional winter entertainment.
This is the fifth year that the Liverpool Christmas Ice Festival returns as one of the headline events for the city’s festive programme, and thousands of people are expected to visit as part of the opening weekend.
Liverpool Christmas Ice Festival is open to the public every day, except Christmas Day, until 5 January 2020. The 45-minute sessions run on the hour from 11am until 9pm on weekdays and from 10am on weekends. For more information and to book tickets, please visit www.icefestivalliverpool.co.uk.
