General Maintenance Operative (West Berkshire)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join our Warehouse team based at our site in Membury, West Berkshire on a permanent basis. The role will primarily involve carrying out daily vehicle checks to record any repairs required, maintaining and general housekeeping of the offices, site and facilities, completing the ground’s maintenance and assisting the Joinery Supervisor and Warehouse Operations Manager as required.

The Core Working Hours are 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, however there is frequent opportunities for overtime on weekends.

Within the role, working clothes and PPE will be provided and there after the probationary period they may be further opportunities for upskilling and development.

We are looking for Site Operatives / Marquee Builders to join our growing site team on full-time permanent basis.

In this role, site operatives assist with preparing a site, loading and unloading trucks, and erecting and dismantling temporary and permanent structures, in accordance with project specific plans and regulations for a range of different events throughout the UK.

The hours are varied and involve frequent travel within UK and occasionally overseas.

Accommodation and overnight allowance will be provided when working away from home.

Yard Operative (St Ives, Cambridgeshire)

We are looking for a enthusiastic individuals to join our growing Yard, Warehouse & Woodshed teams on a permanent basis. The role will primarily involve assisting with the preparation of construction kit to be sent to site on time and in required quantities. Depending on the team, this preparation can include painting and sanding wooden kit, picking/sorting kit and loading / unloading the lorries.

The core working hours are 42.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, however there is frequent opportunities for overtime on weekends.

The kit is stored both inside and in an open yard, so work can often require being outside.

Working clothes, PPE and upskilling opportunities will be provided.

Skills and Experience required: –

  • Accuracy and attention to detail when picking the kit.
  • Physically fit – the work requires a lot of manual handling and lifting
  • Willing to work in all weather conditions
  • Counterbalance FLT experience is desired / licence preferred

We are currently looking for a capable individual to join our growing Woodshed Team on a permanent basis. The role will primarily involve preparing timber, paneling and building/repairing bespoke kit so that it can be delivered to site on time and in the required quantities.

Responsibilities:

CAD Designer

We are looking for an experienced CAD Designer to join our design team on a temporary 12-month basis. We are market leaders in the supply of demountable infrastructure to events on a temporary and permanent basis, with our design teams realising our client’s requirements by integrating existing “off the shelf” products and bespoke design using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.

As a CAD designer, this role will work on job specific seating and spectator facility layouts, assemblies and site GA’s from the initial design brief through to the final construction issue.

Main responsibilities:

  • Create & develop 2D & 3D layouts and assemblies in AutoCAD, working to meet project specification and relevant industry guides, standards, sightline studies and structural engineers’ calculations.
  • Ensure all design files & project information are stored and managed in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain and improve the library of standard parts, bespoke parts & large assemblies in 2D & 3D.
  • Create & develop civil engineering/architectural layouts liaising with internal & external departments to understand design requirements and provide technical advice.
  • Create, revise & manage project specific bill of materials.
  • Visit client sites to gather out site survey data for the design and implementation of projects when needed.
  • Generating 3D visuals.
  • Revising models and layouts as requested.

Required knowledge and experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in CAD design, preferably in engineering or construction businesses.
  • Advanced user knowledge of AutoCAD in 2D and 3D using both Model Space and Paper Space.
  • Proficient knowledge of Autodesk Inventor & Navisworks
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Revit is desirable.
